SpeedRunnners is a multiplayer platforming race game, where you play against 2 to 4 people or bots in a flashy style with power-ups, grappling hooks and weapons. The game has been first released as a free browser game, however, after great success and a surge in popularity it has been re-developed for consoles and PCs. Here, you play as one of the superheroes, but as this profession got more popular, the heroes started competing to get to the target quicker than others. The game additionally features a map creator which allows you as well as other players to create racing tracks and share them with others.

Here, you have only one goal to be the first one on the finish line. To achieve that, you must use the available arsenal, your grappling hook, your fast thinking and skills. An interactive environment makes it possible to accelerate your character even more to gain an advantage or to screw up the other players to keep them behind you. The game screen constantly moves, following the player on the lead and falling behind too far means losing the match, so try to always stay in front of the others. Racing gains you XP points for which you may unlock additional characters to choose from for future races.

SpeedRunners received positive reviews praising the competitive nature together with the upgrade to the features compared to the free browser version. The simplicity and ease to play and compete allowed the game to receive good notes from both players and critics.
